I. Communication
Being honest with each other in a relationship is very important and it is also important that you get to know the person properly before you commit yourself. How well do you know each other? Is the only talking you do bedroom talk?
Good Signs:
» You talk openly about life issues such as finances, children, things that frighten you, and each other's ambitions in life.
» You can argue and come to some sort of compromise at the end of it.
» You are open and honest with each other about your feelings.
Warning Signs:
» You only know his favorite color and what paper he reads. You are afraid to ask him in-depth questions about his life for fear of rejection or for fear of what you might find out.
» You don’t discuss how you are feeling with each other and the frustration builds up in each of you, often causing you to resent each other.
» Neither of you is willing to forgive the other.
II. Love
A long lasting relationship/marriage can rarely survive without love. So is it love or are you just kidding yourself?
Good Signs:
» In a crisis you stand by each other no matter what the result.
» You make sacrifices to make the other person happy.
» You are truthful and honest and don’t keep secrets from one another.
» You are emotionally, physically, and mentally compatible.
» You are friends as well as lovers.
Warning Signs:
» When the going gets tough, your partner gets going.
» Your partner has an eye for members of the opposite sex and has proved to be untrustworthy.
» Your partner lies to you about where he/she has been and only confesses when you find out the truth.
» There is little physical affection, laughter, or communication between the two of you.
» Your has been unfaithful on numerous occasions.
III. Respect
A relationship is about friendship, respect, and acceptance of one another. When there is lack of respect for the other trust and respect is replaced by suspicion and can slowly grow to hatred.
Good Signs:
» You are aware of your partner’s faults and are able to accept some imperfections.
» You support and encourage each other’s individual interests and identity.
» You take the time to listen and understand the other’s point opinion.
Warning Signs:
» You criticize each other in front of others.
» Your partner will not give you space to indulge in your interests and wants to spend every minute of the day with you.
» You are constantly struggling to live up to your partner's standards or the person you think your partner wants you to be.
Be aware and objective about your relationship. If you can't nurture it, then it may be time to leave. If it's strong, then building upon mutual love, respect, and communication will only make it stronger.

The History of Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day is a very popular date for many people. Whether you are celebrating a new love, or a long-term relationship, or you’re at home sulking over a lost love, Valentine’s Day is a significant day for almost everyone. On this day across the country cards, flowers, candies, love letters, and cute and furry little stuffed animals are sent, given, and unwrapped every year. Countless couples go to many different places for dates to show their significant others how much they care and value them. Have you ever wondered where Valentine’s Day originated and why it is as important and as popular as it is ? The history of Valentine’s Day tells the story.
The origination of this popular holiday is all in the name of St. Valentine. Who is this saint? This saint is apparently a very mysterious entity. While mystery shrouds this holiday, what is known is that February has been a romantic month for a long time. St. Valentine’s Day contains components of both Christian traditions and Ancient Roman traditions. The Catholic Church today recognizes at least three saints with the name of Valentine. All of these recognized saints were at one point in time martyred.
Other legends include suggestions that Valentine was killed while he was trying to help Christians escape harsh Roman prisons where they were possibly being beaten and even tortured at times. So now you are wondering why he had to do with a holiday that is a famous day for lovers. According to a legend, the first Valentine greeting was actually allegedly sent by Valentine himself. When he was in prison, it is believed that Valentine fell in love. The person he fell in love with was a young girl, possibly his captor’s daughter. She was said to have visited him during his confinement while in prison.
Before Valentine’s death, it is alleged that he wrote her a love letter. He signed this letter with the expression "From your Valentine". This expression is still used today on Valentine’s Day and is signed at the bottom of cards and . Though the real truth behind the Valentine legends is still somewhat of a mystery, what is clear is why Valentine is looked upon as a brave, compassionate, and romantic person. By the Middle Ages, Valentine was, not surprisingly, one of the most popular saints throughout England and France.

Dating Do's And Don'ts
We've all been on a date before and wondered whether or not you should or should not do or say something. As much as we would like to deny it, there are some unwritten dating "rules" that everyone should follow which will make everyone, male and female, much more comfortable and content with a date.
First, there are some things everyone should do on dates. There is the obvious first impression. Try to look your best and be punctual. No one wants to date an irresponsible slob. To go the other way, flatter and compliment your date on the way they look and the things they wear. People tend to put in a lot of effort for a date, so being told that they look nice is always good to hear.
Have fun when dating. Be interested and interesting. Make sure to tell someone if you are not interested in dating them again. Being lied to and hopes kept alive is an evil and malicious act. If you don?t want to see them again, let them know that in the nicest possible way you can.
Date the type of people you like and are attracted to, whatever your friends may say. Stay positive even when dates don?t end well. You will meet some nice people and probably make some good contacts.
Dating is a creative diversion, it requires concentration and energy so when you are dating keep some plans in the forefront of your mind and allow dating to take you to places you always wanted to visit within your own city.
Make 121 dating happen for yourself. People will not come and ring your bell from nowhere. Dating requires positive action so go out there and meet people, as many people as you can. Practice your chat and flirting on shop workers, bar attendants, anywhere and everywhere. Being nice to people is very sexy and great fun.
Surround yourself with positive like minded people who are also dating. Think about the girls from Sex and the City and how they assist each other in dating and matters of romance. Negative friends who don't condone the dating scene or don't understand it will only help lower your own expectations and make you feel negative.

5 Dating Tips
1. Ask powerful questions
Asking powerful questions is important in finding out about the other person. For example, you can use words such as what, where and how. These kind of words cannot lead to a simple yes or no answer. Instead they give the other person the opportunity to give a more comprehensive answer. Apart from that you may need to ask more specific questions at certain times. For example, if she says 'I'll call you soon' you may want to ask something like 'When should I expect a call'. Asking for more specific information will avoid misunderstandings!
2. Reality checks
Before you judge the other person, be aware that your beliefs and values are based on your reality, which doesn't mean your beliefs and values are right or wrong. We are all different and your date's beliefs and values may not match yours. Knowing and understanding this will make you more flexible and understanding of others, including your dates.
3. Avoid assumptions
Unfortunately, assuming is something we do a lot. So, instead of thinking 'She/he is probably doing this to blah, blah, blah...', ask! It's better to find out than to do guess work. And, if the other person doesn't seem to respond to you straight away, it doesn't mean that he or she isn't interested. Perhaps they just need to get to know you better before they demonstrate any kind of interest.
4. Build rapport
Rapport is the presence of trust, harmony and co-operation in a relationship. If you have rapport with a person you will make them feel like your ally, your partner. You can create rapport by creating commonalities! You can do this by matching their language, breathing, gestures, facial expression and voice.
5. Be confident
Confidence can open many doors for you. When you are confident people will have more trust in you and your abilities. Even, if you don't consider yourself to be a confident person....ACT AS IF YOU ARE!

Simple Dating Tips For Girls
Many times when a girl is looking for a dating tip, there tends to be many ways to find them, but they lead to general tips that don't result in specific dating tips for a girl. Sure, general dating tips can help anyone who reads them but for specific tips that help a particular gender or preference, they can be few and far between. If you're looking for dating tips for a girl, look no further and read on! The first thing you should know when looking into dating tips for a girl, is to pick and choose carefully. Because everyone is different, not every tip will work well for everyone. So be sure that you use the tips that you're comfortable with, don't forget to be true to who you really are, and you're sure to be successful!
Tip #1 Dating tips for girls will usually include wearing sexy clothing and basically "putting yourself out there". You won't find these tips in this article. The first tip to be shared with you is to be yourself! Many women think that they can't be themselves when they first meet a man for one reason or another. The bottom line is, if he doesn't like you for you, the relationship isn't going to get very far because eventually your true colors will shine through, it's human nature! So, be yourself and stay confident. You'll meet plenty of men who love your personality and the kind of person you are.
Tip #2 Another great dating tip for girls is to make sure you don't air your dirty laundry on the first date. Let's face it, we all have things going on in our lives that aren't the most attractive to the opposite sex. Now, this isn't to say that you should keep this stuff hidden as long as possible, but you surely shouldn't tell him all about it the first time you spend time together. Give him a chance to get to know you, and vice versa. A door will open after a few dates that will allow you the chance to start giving him information he should know that may affect him in the long run. By the time these conversations come about, you'll already be in a relationship and it will be easier for him to understand the things you're telling him without being scared off.
Tip #3 Finally, another important dating tip for girls is to not come off as desperate! This doesn't mean that you're falling all over the men that you meet or letting them know how much you need to find a date, this means to avoid doing things like waiting by the phone for his call and paying for the date just because he asks. These small things that you may think are simply thoughtful because you like him, may lead him to believe you're willing to do whatever it takes to make him happy and to snag him for yourself. This leads to one of two things; he'll either get turned off and stop calling, or he'll decide that it's worth taking advantage of you, neither of which you want.
