One of the things that I remember in my "younger years" was always hearing some girl complain about how childish and immature men were that were her age. This is fairly characteristic into the mid-30's with a lot of women. Can you blame them? Women beat us to the ranks of the maturity level up to ten years before we ever get there, and a lot of men never grow up until they hit 40. About that time in their lives, it finally hits them that they're not getting any younger, and maybe settling down is a good idea.
Interestingly enough, that 20-something year old beauty will still feel the same way about you when you're 30, 35, 40 ….. and so on, because you and her are still the same age. She is the kind of woman that will always prefer an older man than you. So let's use some reverse psychology here. Why don't you start looking at women that are younger than you? When I turned 40, I was dating a 28-year old, and it was one of the best dating relationships I was ever in. Ah, but there does come a caution with this dating proposition. Some of those younger women are looking for a "daddy" --- as in a "Sugar Daddy." I've given you fair warning and no further details are required.
The bottom line is this --- there are a lot of women who prefer older men simply because of that maturity issue. However, there are other reasons besides this. In one scenario, some women are trying to find a future husband. But what women who prefer older men seem to looking for more than anything else is protection and security. When there are arguments, no woman can be reasoned with if she is insecure in the relationship. Do men always breed that insecurity? It's hard to say. But, there are a lot of women, who come into a relationship with that baggage created from being dumped in a past relationship. It's just a fact of life, and being with this type of woman often becomes a constant struggle with no hope of resolve.
Women still expect men to be the provider. Say what you want about morals, the new millennium, and women's lib. None of this overrides a woman's desire to be protected and secure, no matter how tough they try to act. Not to get overly personal or crass, but a woman can find a guy to rock her world in bed every night of the week if she wants to. But in reality, she is looking for that sensuous lover who spends the time satisfying her desires and passions when she's in bed with her mate. The tough part about this is that most men are either too lazy or too self-centered to give her what she needs. For those guys, you might as well hang up the phone and turn out the lights.
